6 Films That Make Me Feel All Christmassy

In todays post I want to share my 6 favourite films to watch when the days get colder and the countdown to christmas has started. I like nothing more than coming home and getting comfortable on the sofa with a hot drink and a film to make me feel all cosy and christmassy. Some of the films on my list aren’t actually christmas themed but are usually set in winter which is enough to make me feel all cosy.

So without further ado, here are my favourite films to watch.

Merry Christmas Mr. Bean

The first film isn’t actually a film but collection of christmas themed Mr.Bean episodes. I absolutely LOVE Mr. Bean and have been watching him since I was a child. I don’t even know why I enjoy it so much but the 30 minute episodes are nice and easy to watch and take me back to my childhood, which always makes me feel extra festive.

Bridget Jones’s Diary

Although this film isn’t mainly about christmas it ticks all the boxes for being funny, wintery and set in England which is always a winner with me.

Love Actually

Yes yes I know… Love Actually is almost every bloggers favourite christmas film and rightly so I say. It is funny, heart warming, cosy but also a little bit sad at times and of course the plot revolves around christmas and it features many of Britains most populars actors.

Home Alone

Another childhood favourite of mine that takes me straight back to the 90s. I loved all the clever booby traps that Kevin McCallister set for the burglars and used to be amazed at how fearless he seemed to be (that basement still creeps me out).

Harry Potter

Another one that isn’t christmas themed but nevertheless gives me that cosy feeling that I love around christmas, with it’s roaring fires, castle setting and snowy Hogsmeade. I particularly enjoy the first three films which are a lot less dark and gloomy than the others.

101 Dalmatians

This one seems to be the odd one out because it is the only Disney film on my list. I think I originally liked it because it is set in England (there seems to be a theme with me) and has dogs in it. Again, it isn’t actually a christmas film but I love that it is set in winter.

Which are your favourite wintery/christmassy films?
